Samcheok City is launching the 2026 Samcheok Summer Clean Beach Event from July 31 through August 8 across local beaches and valleys, according to an announcement by the city. The multi-day festival aims to provide entertainment, hands-on activities, and cultural experiences for residents and summer vacationers while boosting local tourism and economic activity.

Deoksan Village Deokbongsan Song Festival Kicks Off Events

The festival opens on July 31 at the Deoksan Beach special stage with the Deoksan Village Deokbongsan Song Festival, according to Samcheok City. Preliminary rounds for the singing contest run from 2 p.m. for visitors and locals, followed by a final competition at 6:30 p.m. featuring 12 advancing teams.

Hamaengbang Beach Clam Catching and Moonlight Concert

On August 1, Hamaengbang Beach hosts a day of coastal activities and evening performances. According to city event schedules, a clam-catching experience and clam soup-making program begin at 2 p.m. The evening program starts at 7:30 p.m. with a lineup featuring a Nanta performance, saxophone and acoustic guitar acts, and live trot music.

Geondeok Maeng방 Song Festival and Deokpung Valley Concert

Festivities continue into August with two major weekend events. According to Samcheok City, the Geondeok Maengbang Song Festival takes place on August 7 starting at 7 p.m. near Maengbang Beach. The following day, August 8, the Deokpung Valley Midsummer Night Concert features guest singers, a live DJ, and magic performances at the Deokpung Valley special stage.
