The 2,124-passenger ship is scheduled to depart Pier 91 on a nine-night Alaska voyage, but port traffic is expected to create high guest volume.
Pier 91 Port Congestion and Coast Guard Inspections
According to reports from the Port of Seattle’s official schedule, the high volume stems from a shared terminal day. Carnival Miracle will share Pier 91 with Cunard’s Queen Elizabeth, a 2,081-guest ship scheduled to depart at 5:00 p.m., just one hour after Carnival Miracle leaves at 4:00 p.m. Coast Guard inspection is also scheduled at the facility on the same day.
Carnival notified ticket holders that the arrival notice is mandatory rather than a suggestion. Guests arriving ahead of their designated windows will be asked to leave the terminal grounds and return only when their scheduled time arrives, aiming to maintain flow at the busy facility.
Itinerary Changes and Final Alaska Voyage Details
The September 17 departure marks the final voyage of the 88,500-gross-ton Carnival Miracle’s 2026 Alaska season. The itinerary includes calls at Ketchikan, Sitka, Skagway, Juneau, and Victoria, alongside scenic cruising through Endicott Arm before returning to Seattle on September 26.
Carnival removed Tracy Arm from its 2026 Alaska routes due to unstable geological conditions following an August 2025 landslide and tsunami, according to the Port of Seattle’s official schedule.
Repositioning to Galveston and Caribbean Cruises
Following the return to Seattle, Carnival Miracle will embark on a 16-night Panama Canal repositioning cruise on September 26, 2026. This journey features scenic Panama Canal transit and stops in Cabo San Lucas, Puntarenas, and Cartagena before docking in Galveston, Texas, on October 12, 2026.
From Galveston, the vessel will operate Caribbean itineraries through early May 2027. The ship is subsequently scheduled to depart for Europe on a transatlantic voyage on May 6, 2027.
