Open Access and Division Turnout
Adhering to the guiding principle of “Tennis for Everyone,” tournament organizers restricted entry to singles players holding a performance class (Leistungsklasse) above 10. Competition categories included women’s and men’s singles, women’s and men’s doubles, and mixed doubles.
The mixed doubles division attracted the highest level of participation with 25 competing pairs. Conversely, the women’s singles division recorded the lowest turnout with six entrants.
Double-Elimination Format and Spectator Turnout
A distinctive feature of the Bockhof-Open is its implementation of a double-elimination format, which incorporates both a main bracket and a consolation round (Hoffnungsrunde) to guarantee additional matches for participants.
Favorable weather conditions drew numerous spectators to the facility’s tennis courts to observe the final matchups of the milestone 36th edition.
