Digital trends are advancing at an accelerated pace, unlike anything we’ve seen before. Young millennials and Generation Z are at the forefront of this new digital culture.

According to reports from the Latin American Youth Digital observatory, the way young people use digital tools has evolved. They’re moving beyond simply living on platforms to embracing hybrid experiences, both digital and in-person.

Here are 5 digital trends that will define the close of 2025.

1. Accelerated Microlearning

Generation Z learns best with short videos, ranging from 30 seconds to 3 minutes.According to the educational platform EduTrends, 74% of young people prefer short video formats “because they adapt to their rhythm and fragmented attention.”

2. Digital Health

wearables are no longer exclusive to athletes; students and office workers focused on health are increasingly using them. This is supported by data from BioLatam, which shows that the use of biometric devices increased by 280% among young people between 18 and 30 years old between 2022 and 2024.

3.Retro Culture with a Futuristic Approach

The “retro-future” trend is dominant, with the popularity of 90s fashion, vinyl records, vintage digital cameras, and digital utilities-even AI adaptations. In other words, vintage and nostalgia are now functional and essential for everyday life.

4. The Second-Hand Economy

Today’s young people prefer to buy used items-clothing, furniture, computers, and even rare vintage pieces. This is driven by a desire to collect unique items, a concern for the environment, and the appeal of “reusing.”

This trend is confirmed by Global Circular Market, which reports that young people are responsible for 62% of all resale transactions online in Mexico and South America (MCG Trends, 2024).

5. Conversational AI as a Constant Companion

Chatbots, as assistants, content generators, and Artificial Intelligence tools, are becoming integral to the lives of new generations (and others).

AI is now part of the study, work, and creative routines of many. TechPulse Labs reported that in 2023 and 2024, the use of technology with chatbots increased by 340% among those under 30 years of age.

these trends reflect the attitudes and technological adoption of a hybrid generation, with a clear belief that digital tools don’t replace human connection but contribute to a better way of life.

2025 will be remembered as the year these tools transitioned from being trendy or niche to becoming the new normal.
