Generation Z Targets Drive French Strategy
Nearly 89% of B2B marketing professionals in France believe their company’s future growth depends on their ability to influence young decision-makers from Generation Z and the Millennial cohort. According to a study by LinkedIn, these marketers are shifting their focus from broad brand visibility to targeted credibility as the primary driver for business expansion.
Shifting Priorities Toward Credibility
Data from the study indicates that 64% of respondents across all surveyed countries now prioritize brand credibility over sheer visibility. LinkedIn reports that this shift requires moving beyond standard corporate messaging. Instead, successful firms are building trust by using industry experts who share professional experiences, content creators who offer practical advice, and company executives who actively engage in client conversations.
This strategy is showing measurable results at specific stages of the sales funnel. Approximately 52% of B2B marketers currently working with subject matter experts report that these formats are more effective than traditional advertising campaigns for moving prospects from the awareness stage to the consideration stage. Specifically, 46% of respondents noted that expert-led content generates its strongest impact during the consideration phase, compared to only 25% who see the primary benefit during the initial awareness phase.
Budget Shifts Toward Expert Content and AI Search
Organizations are adjusting their budgets to reflect this focus on trust-based marketing. In the coming 12 months, 37% of surveyed professionals plan to increase their spending on content driven by expert voices.
Simultaneously, marketers are preparing for the rise of AI-assisted discovery. With search behaviors evolving, 43% of participants anticipate a rise in organizational investment dedicated to optimizing content for AI-driven search results. Amandine Martin Briand, director of LinkedIn Marketing Solutions for France, stated that contemporary buyers rely heavily on their community of peers and experts to inform their purchasing decisions. She noted that a strategy focused solely on visibility without establishing credibility remains incomplete, as trust has become the most valuable currency in the current market.
Global Research Methodology and Scope
The research was conducted by Censuswide between July 21, 2026, and August 6, 2026. The sample included 6,196 marketing professionals at the level of junior manager or above, all of whom are involved in B2B marketing. The study covered 12 markets: the United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Australia, the United States, the Netherlands, India, Singapore, France, Germany, Italy, and Brazil. To ensure representation, the study enforced a quota requiring at least 150 respondents aged 18 to 29 per market.

Targeting the Next Wave of Decision-Makers
Why are B2B marketers prioritizing Generation Z and Millennials?
Marketing professionals view these younger generations as the next wave of primary decision-makers, making their influence essential for long-term corporate growth. Nearly 9 out of 10 French B2B marketers surveyed explicitly linked their company’s future success to this specific demographic.
How does AI optimization fit into a credibility-based strategy?
As buyers increasingly use artificial intelligence tools to discover and vet vendors, marketers are shifting resources to ensure their content is discoverable and authoritative within these new search environments. 43% of the professionals surveyed identified AI search optimization as a key area for increased future investment.
What is the difference between visibility and credibility in this context?
Visibility refers to the reach or awareness of a brand, while credibility is built through peer validation, expert-led content, and active, meaningful engagement. The study suggests that while visibility introduces a brand, credibility is the factor that drives a prospect to the consideration and purchasing stages.
