When Samsung introduced the QE75QN700C in March 2023 for CZK 119,900, it was one of the most affordable 8K TVs on the market. Over the next two years, the price stabilized around 60,000 crowns, a much more reasonable figure. Now, during Alza’s Black Friday sale, televisions have dropped to CZK 39,990 – meaning you can get a premium 75″ 8K Neo QLED TV for the price of regular high-end 4K models.
## 8K with mini LED: does it even make sense?
The initial question is: do you need 8K? Probably not. 8K content is still limited, and on a 75″ diagonal, you’ll only notice the difference between 4K and 8K when viewing from a very close distance. though, 8K televisions have one major advantage – advanced upscaling using artificial intelligence.
The Samsung QE75QN700C features the Neural Quantum Processor Lite 8K, which intelligently converts any content – be it Full HD Netflix, 4K from Blu-ray, or even older SD formats – to a higher resolution. The 8K AI Upscaling technology analyzes each scene and increases sharpness and detail. In practice, this means even regular 4K content looks sharper and cleaner than on a classic 4K TV.
Add to that the Mini LED backlight with local dimming, which ensures remarkable contrast – dark scenes are truly black, while shining details remain legible without over-lighting. The Neo quantum HDR 8K function then ensures that even HDR content gets the most out of the panel’s capabilities.
## 60Hz frequency: the biggest compromise
Here’s the biggest weakness of this model. The Samsung QE75QN700C has a maximum frequency of 60 Hz, which is surprising for a television priced at almost 40,000 crowns (and originally 120,000!) in 2025. competing 4K models at this price normally offer 120Hz panels.
For console gamers who want to use 120 fps on PS5 or Xbox Series X, this TV is not suitable. However, games supporting 120 fps are still relatively rare and are mostly multiplayer shooters like call of Duty or Fortnite. If you mainly play single-player titles that run at 30 or 60 fps anyway, the 60Hz panel won’t limit you.For movies and series, a 60 Hz panel is perfectly sufficient – most movie content runs at 24 fps, so a higher frequency offers no benefit.
## Dolby Atmos and surround sound
The sound equipment is one of the strengths of the QN700C. The TV supports Dolby atmos and Dolby Digital Plus, and also has an integrated OTS Lite (Object Tracking Sound) function.
