mbappé and PSG are at odds over alleged unpaid salaries and the financial dispute was examined by a labor court.

the legal dispute between Paris Saint-Germain and Kylian mbappé intensified this Monday, with both parties raising colossal financial demands.

The French striker and his former club are at odds over alleged unpaid wages, and the financial dispute was examined by a labor tribunal.

Mbappé, who did not attend the hearing, previously claimed that the reigning European champion owed him 55 million euros ($63 million). He is now demanding more than 260 million euros ($301 million) from the club, arguing that his fixed-term contract should be reclassified as indefinite. Such reclassification would give rise to compensation for unfair dismissal, unpaid wages, bonuses and severance pay.

He also claims compensation for moral harassment, undeclared work and breach of PSG’s duty of good faith and safety towards him.

“Kylian Mbappé does not ask for anything beyond what the law establishes; he simply seeks compliance with his legal rights, as any employee would do,” the player’s advisors said in a statement.

For its part, PSG is demanding a total of 440 million euros ($510 million) from the forward, including 180 million euros ($208 million) for the “loss of opportunity” to complete his transfer, since he left as a free agent after rejecting an offer of 300 million euros ($348 million) from the Saudi club Al Hilal in July 2023.
