Lineage Inc. Expands Automated Cold Storage Network with New Dallas Facility
Lineage Inc., a leading global temperature-controlled industrial REIT and logistics solutions provider, has commenced construction on a new, highly automated cold storage facility in Hutchins, Texas, within the Dallas Metroplex. This project represents a important expansion of Lineage’s network and commitment to serving the evolving needs of the food and beverage industry.
The facility is part of a previously announced plan to develop two next-generation warehouses featuring advanced automation capabilities in key U.S. markets, designed to support a long-standing customer.Strategically located in Dallas County’s prime Pointe Park, adjacent to the Union Pacific Railroad’s Dallas Intermodal Terminal, the Hutchins facility will capitalize on the region’s robust transportation infrastructure. Dallas’s central position within the continental United States,coupled with its extensive network of highways,airports,and rail lines,provides efficient access to both domestic and international markets,including Mexico.
Expected to be operational by the end of 2027, the facility will integrate lineage’s proprietary linos operating system, a extensive platform for managing warehouse activities and optimizing efficiency.This investment underscores Lineage’s dedication to innovation in the cold chain logistics sector.
Lineage currently maintains a substantial presence in Texas, operating 18 facilities that offer a comprehensive suite of services, including temperature-controlled warehousing, blast freezing, case picking, USDA and FDA inspections, and integrated transportation solutions. The addition of this new, automated facility will further enhance Lineage’s capacity to provide end-to-end supply chain solutions for its customers.
