MTV Nienburg Badminton: State Championship Update
Brietlingen, Nienburg. Things are moving quickly for the badminton department of MTV Nienburg. Just one week after hosting the almost flawlessly organized North German Championship, led by department head Sandra Reichstein, the state championship for student teams was already underway.

Last season, the MTV U15 team was the clear favorite for the title. This year, however, the team is undergoing changes. “We have a very diverse team this season,” reports Reichstein. “Ben Schneider and Taiken Egbers bring experience to the top positions. Luca jager has grown from a substitute to a regular player over the last two years. Newcomers Philip Edelmann and Piet Zube, who haven’t yet competed in team play, round out the team.”
Following the age-related departure of Nina Keo Boun Khoune and Kaja Bo Becker, MTV needed to completely rebuild its “women’s team.” “We’ve gained a promising young talent in Lea Pechtold, who is U13. Merle Elmhorst and Enie Drechsler, who is only nine years old,
