Crow River Singers to Warm Hearts with ‘Hearth & Harmony’
Crow River Singers will present ‘Hearth & Harmony’ winter concert in Hutchinson Friday and Sunday, Dec. 5 and 7

The Crow River singers will perform their winter concert, ‘Hearth & Harmony,’ on Friday, Dec. 5, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 7, at 2 p.m. at Peace Lutheran Church,400 Franklin St. SW in Hutchinson. The choir, directed by Shelby Lofgren, promises an evening filled with seasonal favorites, reflective pieces, and celebrations of winter traditions. Tickets cost $10 at the door, and children under 12 get in free.
The concert receives support from a grant by the Southwest Minnesota Arts Council, thanks to Minnesota voters through a legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.
A Concert Rooted in Memory and Togetherness
Project Director Holly Dapper explained that this year’s ‘Hearth & Harmony’ theme focuses on the warmth of home, the joy of community, and the comfort of familiar songs. “This program offers something meaningful for everyone, whether it’s longing for home, cherished winter memories, or the simple joy of singing in harmony,” Dapper said.
Expect to hear selections like ‘I’ll Be Home for Christmas,’ ‘Somewhere in My Memory,’ ‘Grace Before Sleep,’ ‘Auld Lang Syne,’ and other beloved holiday and winter classics.
A Choir with Growing Reach
Founded in 1994,the Crow River Singers have expanded from an initial chorus of 26 to a regional ensemble of 47 singers. Their members range in age from 17 to 80 and represent 10 area communities, including Hutchinson and Glencoe. The choir’s mission is to provide a platform for vocalists to participate in diverse musical experiences and enrich the cultural life of the region.
