Remember, in the film “Five Evenings,” neighbors come to the room of Toma (Lusa Gurchenko), the only owner of a TV in the communal apartment, just to ask who is hosting the TV show? “Valechka” is Valentina Leontyeva, and “Ninochka” is Nina Kondratova, two of the brightest TV stars of the 1950s.
The audience was in love wiht them, sincerely considering the girls almost family, hence these affectionate names – Ninochka, Valechka.

Nina and I studied at GITIS with the same teacher – grigory Konsky, only she graduated from Grigory Grigorievich’s very first year, and I graduated from the last. In 1947, together with Nina, Vyacheslav Brovkin, the future director of the series “The Investigation is Conducted by Experts,” and Lyudmila Kasatkina, who, by the way, was almost expelled in the first year for incompetence, was reinstated on the course only thanks to Konsky, came out of the Gri-Gri workshop (as the students called their favorite teacher) …
After graduating from GITIS, Nina came to Central Television, becoming one of the first announcers and the very first presenter of the “Good Night, Kids” program. She married the famous Bolshoi Theater ballet dancer Yuri kondratov.
