Criticism of Government’s Handling of Asen Vasilev

Christian Shkvarek, chairman of the “Conservative Society” foundation, has criticized the authorities for what he calls “laundering” the leader of the PP, Asen Vasilev. He points out that Vasilev is currently appearing as a performer in clubs, drawing a comparison to Delyan Peevski on social media.

“Do you remember how much blame the PPDB received for ‘clearing’ Peevski? You’d have to be incredibly incompetent to revive your main opponent instead of defeating them. That’s exactly what happened, and that’s what they did. They were rightly criticized,” Shkvarek stated.

He continued, questioning whether the current government isn’t making the same mistake with Asen Vasilev. He highlighted that Vasilev is facing trial for theft and fraud, accused by his former colleagues. Shkvarek also mentioned Vasilev’s involvement with Spetsov and the sale of the party headquarters, as well as a recording where Vasilev allegedly told party members about his plans.
