A few years ago my dream was to work as a sports journalist on television, but a change in ownership of the station I worked for brought my career to a sudden halt, because I was fired from one day to the next.” Eleonora Nocent lives in the province of Udine, is 33 years old and has chosen to sign her name and surname when telling her story of rebirths. It started when he decided to move to Spain. “After six years spent in the editorial office, I felt disoriented, empty, with a thousand questions and no answers. So I took refuge in yoga, to slow down, breathe and listen to myself. I courageously made it my job when my partner and I moved to the Spanish coast, near Barcelona, to live facing the sea with a slower pace of life. They were two significant revolutions, ther were difficult moments, but I think I called on all my resilience and now I feel reborn.”

Expectations about the future are betrayed

“From a very young age, I began to take my first steps in the world of entertainment, taking part in beauty contests. Shortly after, the first collaborations arrived: photo shoots, fashion shows, commercials and experiences backstage at events.Simultaneously occurring, I continued with my studies and obtained a degree in languages with honours, which led me to teaching Spanish in public schools.Unexpectedly, the prospect arose to start a collaboration with the official television of Udinese Football. I showed up for an interview and they chose me for the role of sports presenter and journalist. It was a job that I was deeply passionate about: I loved the preparation of the broadcasts, the live broadcasts from the stadium, the emotion of reporting a match in front of the cameras. I also had a brief period in Milan, in the Sky Sport editorial office: an intense and formative experience. there I learned how much rigor, precision and rhythm are needed to do this job. once I returned to Udine, I was offered an opportunity to professional growth: I finally had my own show, colleagues I respected and a stimulating surroundings.”

A Life Reclaimed

I wouldn’t have believed, in the past, that I would live near the sea, with a peaceful, authentic, and meaningful life, at my own pace. It all seemed so far away, so impractical. But I had the courage to believe it. I was fine before, but today I’m better. I don’t want you to think it was easy: it wasn’t. The moments of difficulty when you decide to change almost everything in your life are countless, and the sensations that accompany them are often unpleasant. ItS a real swing of emotions. Changing your life requires strength, trust, and so much resilience. But I can say, from my heart, that it was worth it. Sometimes life takes something away from you just to make room for what really belongs to you.
