34th annual Providence festival of trees returns to Medford Armory

The 34th annual Providence Festival of Trees will be at the Medford Armory,showcasing numerous Christmas tree displays.

This year’s festival features a wide variety of submissions, from a “Cinderella” themed display to one inspired by the characters from “Bluey.” The displays are plentiful in both quality adn quantity.

“We have 26 large trees this year, up to 25 tabletop trees and 16 wreaths,” said Kyndra Irigoyen, associate philanthropy officer wiht Providence Community Health Foundation and a key organizer of the event for the last nine years. “This is the most trees we’ve had as returning after the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Visitors can view the trees from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday,December 6-7,at the Medford Armory,located at 1701 S. Pacific Highway.

Tickets cost $8 for adults, $5 for seniors and children ages 3-12, and admission is free for children ages 2 and younger.

The displays draw inspiration from diverse sources, with participation from both individuals and organizations.

“We have a really good variety of different designs this year; the 4H club in Southern Oregon designed a tree with a ‘Cinderella’ fairytale garden theme,” Irigoyen said. “The Human Bean designed a tree in honor of Coffee For a Cure and its 20th anniversary.”
