La Paz, BCS – December 9, 2025 – The government of Baja California Sur successfully launched the National Voluntary and Altruistic Blood Donation Day 2025, considerably bolstering the state’s blood supply and contributing to a nationwide effort to collect vital blood units. A key component of the state’s success has been the deployment of a new mobile blood donation unit delivered to the State Blood Transfusion Center (CETS) earlier in 2025.
This mobile unit has enabled CETS to expand blood collection campaigns to accessible locations like shopping malls and universities, facilitating “extramural collections” and bringing the service directly to citizens.
