Eskilstuna Secures Tight Victory Over Kosta SK in Table Tennis League
Eskilstuna by STIGA and Kosta SK delivered an even and exciting team match in the Table Tennis League. After several well-played matches, the meeting was ultimately decided in the doubles, where the home team eskilstuna emerged victorious.
Eskilstuna by STIGA opted to play debutant Kim Taehyun, David Björkryd, amirreza Abassi, and Hugo Törngren. Kosta SK gave opportunities to Pär Gerell, Martin Fröseth, Mathieu de Saintilans, and Aleksi Räsänen.
The visitors Kosta started strongly, with defensive player Mathieu De Saintilans securing a solid win against Hugo Törngren. Consistent length and minimal errors led to a 3-0 set victory.

The momentum shifted again after the break. Martin Fröseth continued his strong performance, convincingly defeating David Björkryd. Together, Kim Taehyun secured his second win of the evening with an extraordinary 3-1 victory over Pär Gerell.
A highlight of the evening was the match between the two defensive players, Amirreza Abassi and Mathieu De Saintilans. Abassi’s greater variety in play proved decisive, securing a 3-0 win.
The evenly matched nature of the teams was evident, requiring a doubles match to determine the winner. This came after aleksi Räsänen defeated Hugo Törngren 3-1 with a display of few errors.
Eskilstuna chose the pairing of Taehyun/Abassi, while Räsänen/Gerell represented Kosta.
Räsänen/Gerell took the first set, but Taehyun/Abassi fought back, winning the second to force a tie. Building on this momentum, Taehyun/Abassi dominated the deciding set 11-3, securing the crucial bonus point for Eskilstuna.
