Ukrainian Forces Surround Russian Group Near Kupiansk

Defence forces have successfully counterattacked near Kupiansk in the Kharkiv region, reportedly surrounding a Russian military group within the city.

ObolenskyS Statement: “The task was to enter the city and clear out the Russians. We worked in 2-3 directions at once, cutting off their logistics. today we can say that the Russians in the city are completely cut off. For a long time they could not understand what was happening.But now they know that they are surrounded.”

Details: According to the 2nd Corps, the 475th OSH “Code 9.2,” supported by the 4th battalion of the 92nd OSB, fully liberated the village of Kondrashovka, its surrounding areas, and forests. Simultaneously,the 13th brigade “Charter” liberated the village of Radkovka and its environs,and dislodged the enemy from several dozen houses in northern Kupiansk.

The 2nd Corps reports that several months ago, Russian forces advanced into kupiansk to a depth of 6 km from the Oskol River, creating a critical situation in the city and surrounding villages.

In September, Commander-in-Chief Alexander Syrsky established the search and strike group “Charter,” comprising units from the 13th operational brigade “Charter,” the 475th assault regiment “Code 9.2,” the 92nd assault brigade, units of the foreign Legion of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Moscow Region, the 144th mechanized brigade, the 127th OMVBR, and other departments.

Within the city itself,the tactical group “kupyansk” is actively engaged in fighting against Russian forces.

In October-November, units of the PUU “Charter” reportedly defeated several Russian battalions and assault detachments.
