Parkinson’s group Finds Success with Table Tennis

As this summer, TTC Vanikum has a new programme. Every Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., a Parkinson’s group, led by trainer Heinz Titzer, plays table tennis in the sports hall on Nettesheimer Weg in Rommerskirchen. What started with a few people has grown into a solid group. “The group is doing very well. Since we started in June, we’ve added 15 new members. A close community is forming. Everyone feels comfortable adn looks forward to training,” says Titzer.

Two participants in the group shared how much they enjoy the sessions. They said the table tennis helps with their coordination and provides a fun social outlet.
