César Boaventura Resumes Football Intermediation Despite Convictions

Businessman César Boaventura, convicted in two separate cases, received a certificate to establish a business in Brazil, though the project ultimately stalled.

Boaventura previously received a three-year suspended sentence as part of ‘Operation Malapata’ for forgery and tax fraud related to falsified documents concerning player Gedson Fernandes‘ contract and company certificates. He also received a three-year and four-month suspended sentence for sports corruption,stemming from allegations of attempting to influence Rio Ave players before a 2016 match against Benfica.

Despite these convictions, Boaventura has resumed working as a football intermediary and player agent. Hacker Rui Pinto reported this activity on social media.
