Biotechnology Jobs at BIRAC | Women’s Leadership in STEM Entrepreneurship

The Biotechnology Industry Research Assistance council (BIRAC), in collaboration with Grand Challenges India and WomenLift Health, has launched a prestigious leadership advancement program: “Women’s Leadership in STEM Entrepreneurship.” This fully funded initiative is a landmark chance for mid- to senior-career women innovators to transition from technical expertise to transformative leadership. Designed specifically for those in the Biotechnology Jobs sector and broader STEM fields,this year-long hybrid program provides the tools,mentorship,and network necessary to enhance influence and foster gender equality in the Indian innovation ecosystem.

About the Institute

The Biotechnology industry research Assistance Council (BIRAC) is a non-profit, Section 8 Public Sector Enterprise established by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. BIRAC acts as an interface agency to strengthen and empower the emerging biotech enterprise in India. Its core mission is to promote strategic research and innovation,specifically targeting affordable product development.

About the Project: Women’s Leadership in STEM Entrepreneurship

The “Women’s Leadership in STEM Entrepreneurship” program is a transformative capacity-building initiative offered through the Grand Challenges India partnership between BIRAC and WomenLift Health.This project is specifically designed to address gender disparities in the Biotechnology Jobs and STEM sectors by empowering 30 selected mid-career women founders and CEOs.

* Cohort Size: 30 mid-career women entrepreneurs.
* Program Cost: Zero (All costs, including travel and lodging for residential workshops, are fully covered).
* Duration: One Year (Hybrid format including virtual and in-person workshops).
