Goverment Approves Chinese,Japanese,and Korean Language Instruction in kindergarten

The government has approved a project to introduce the learning of Chinese,Japanese,and Korean at the preschool level on an experimental basis,and will also emphasize the teaching of Southeast Asian languages,including Lao and Khmer,in border areas.

This recently approved initiative aims to strengthen foreign language education by 2035 to train a young generation proficient in languages and contribute to the realization of the country’s sustainable development goals in the new era.

The project focuses on enhancing learners’ language skills to meet their needs in studies, communication, and access to global knowledge, culture, science, and technology, as well as international integration, thereby improving the competitiveness of the workforce in both national and international labor markets.
