The Aemet Activates Red Alert in Malaga for Rain and Storms

The State Meteorological Agency (Aemet) has raised the storm warning in Malaga to red alert. The forecast is for intense rains, storms and coastal phenomena in the Guadalhorce regions and on the Costa del Sol.

In addition, the mass warning system ‘EsAlert’, better known as reverse 112, has been activated this Saturday in the province of Malaga in the areas with a red warning due to rain.The Aemet has raised the rainfall warning to red for the night of Saturday, December 28th, and Sunday until 03:59 a.m., and maintains a yellow warning until 09:59 a.m. in the Sol and Guadalhorce areas.

The Emergency 112 Andalusia service has responded to almost 70 incidents throughout the day related to the rainfall across the region.
