Xiaomi Buds 6: High-Quality Sound with advanced Features
Along with the flagship Xiaomi 17 Ultra and the Xiaomi Watch 5 smart watch, the Chinese giant also introduced a new generation of wireless headphones.Xiaomi Buds 6 targets more demanding users who are looking for a combination of quality sound, smart functions and agreeable wear. In China they are sold for 699 yuan which corresponds to approx. 2,000 crowns tax free.
Three-magnet unit with gold-plated membrane
Xiaomi has opted for a custom three-magnet converter unit with a 24K gold-plated membrane in the new headphones. According to the manufacturer, this combination increases the sensitivity of low frequencies by 40% and high frequencies by 30% compared to the previous Buds 5 model. The frequency range is 16 to 40 kHz, the maximum deflection of the membrane then reaches 0.5 mm.
The team involved in tuning the sound was Harman “Golden Ear”, who prepared two preset sound profiles for the Buds 6. The harman AudioEFX mode offers a cooler and more analytical presentation, while the Harman Master mode emphasizes a warmer and fuller bass performance.Other modes are also available, including vocal enhancement, treble or a custom equalizer.
Lossless transmission and surround sound
Xiaomi Buds 6 support transmission of 24bit/48kHz audio with a maximum transmission speed of 2.1 Mbps. To take full advantage of this feature, you need a Xiaomi 14 series phone or later with the aptX Adaptive codec enabled. It also features independent surround sound with 360° head movement tracking, which works without the need for support from a connected device.
