Dementia Support: New Opportunities – Perspectives with Nick Fox

“How often do you think you’ve sat on a brain?” Its an unusual question, and one I hadn’t considered before finding myself in the office of Professor Nick Fox in Queen Square,London. The conversation stemmed from his resourceful approach to office furnishings – specifically, the reupholstering of his chairs with old conference posters. These weren’t just any posters; they were silk prints of brain scans from his department, repurposed when the original chair fabric wore thin.

Professor fox’s ingenuity speaks to a broader characteristic: an ability to identify opportunities where others might not. He currently serves as Joint Head of the Department of Neurodegeneration, Director of the Dementia research Center, and Professor of Neurology at the University College London Institute of Neurology. Additionally, he holds the position of Honorary Consultant Neurologist at the national Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, London, dedicating his career to understanding and combating neurodegenerative diseases.
