Gresham Gymnastics Director and Police Officer Face Sexual Abuse Allegations

gresham, Oregon is grappling with two separate but disturbing cases involving allegations of sexual abuse. A director of a local gymnastics center and a Gresham Police officer have both been indicted on multiple charges.

Gymnastics Center Director Arrested

Eric Stinson, 56, director of the Northwest Gymnastics Training Center, was arrested on January 4th, 2026, following a warrant for his arrest on charges of sexual abuse, sodomy, and attempted sodomy [2]. Gresham Police officers took Stinson into custody, and he was booked at the Multnomah County Detention Center [3].

The allegations stem from multiple reports made by former athletes at the Northwest Gymnastics Training Center, located at 2919 N.W. Division St. The center serves athletes of all ages and skill levels, up to 18 years old. Authorities believe additional victims may come forward.
