Egyptian Tennis Federation Denies Affiliation with Player

The Egyptian Tennis federation (ETF) has officially stated that a player identified as Abdelkader is not registered with the institution and did not participate in a recent tournament on behalf of egypt. This clarification came in response to reports regarding the player’s participation in an ITF tournament in Nairobi.

Official Statement from the ETF

Dia Nabil Loutfy, the technical director of the ETF, confirmed that Abdelkader is not listed on the federation’s official player rosters. He stated,”We would like to clarify that she is not registered with the Egyptian Tennis Federation,nor is she included in any of our official player lists.”

According to the ETF,Abdelkader previously resided in kenya and gained entry into the Nairobi tournament thru a wildcard provided by the Kenyan Tennis Federation. loutfy emphasized that the Egyptian Tennis Federation had “no role whatsoever, whether directly or indirectly, in the nomination, approval, or issuance of this wildcard, and we were not involved in the player’s entry into the tournament in any capacity.”

The ETF further confirmed that they have no records pertaining to Abdelkader and that she has never been affiliated with the Egyptian Tennis Federation.
