PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Teh #18/17 Providence College Friars defeated the #12/14 University of Maine men’s ice hockey team 6-1 on Friday night at Schneider Arena. The game was played on January 9,2026.
Providence took a 2-0 lead in the first period and extended it to 5-0 by the end of the second, capitalizing on three consecutive power-play goals.
Maine finally scored less than a minute into the third period wiht a power-play goal from Brandon Holt. Providence responded 12 minutes later to secure the 6-1 victory.
