Schjelderup Transfer News: Parma, West Ham, and Roma Battle for Benfica Winger

Negotiations are underway between Parma and Benfica for the transfer of Norwegian winger Andreas Schjelderup, though a move to Serie A is not yet finalized. Reports indicate notable interest from the Premier League, with West Ham emerging as a strong contender for the player’s signature.

According to Italian journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, west Ham, managed by Nuno Espírito Santo, has entered the race to acquire Schjelderup. The London club has already demonstrated considerable investment in attacking reinforcements this winter, having spent approximately 50 million euros on Pablo and Taty Castellanos from Gil vicente and Lazio, respectively.Both players have since made their debuts for the Premier League side.

Further complicating Parma’s pursuit,Roma is also monitoring Schjelderup’s situation. The Italian capital club views the Norwegian international as a potential option if they fail to secure their primary attacking targets.

Schjelderup has recorded two goals and three assists in 21 appearances this season for Benfica. Though, he has not featured in a match as December 17th, during Benfica’s Portuguese Cup fixture against Farense. The player’s current absence from the pitch adds another layer of complexity to the ongoing transfer discussions.
