AWS Launches X8aedz Instances in Asia Pacific Regions
Amazon Web Services (AWS) has announced the availability of X8aedz instances in the Asia Pacific (Mumbai) and asia Pacific (Seoul) regions. These new instances are powered by 5th Generation AMD EPYC processors, codenamed “Turin,” and deliver a peak CPU frequency of 5GHz – the highest currently available in the cloud.
Built with 6th generation AWS Nitro Cards, X8aedz instances are specifically designed for demanding workloads like Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and relational databases. They excel in tasks requiring high single-threaded performance and ample memory capacity. The combination of high-frequency processors and local NVMe storage accelerates memory-intensive backend EDA processes, including floor planning, logic placement, clock tree synthesis, routing, and power/signal integrity analysis.
These instances offer a 32:1 memory-too-vCPU ratio and are available in eight sizes, ranging from 2 to 96 vCPUs with 64 to 3,072 GiB of memory. Bare metal variants are also available, alongside options for up to 8 TB of local NVMe SSD storage.
Customers can procure X8aedz instances through Savings Plans,On-Demand purchasing,and Spot Instances. To begin utilizing these instances, users can sign in to the AWS management Console and explore the Amazon EC2 X8aedz instance page.
