Public Debate to Address Healthcare Access in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence

A citizen collective, Alpes en Lutte 04, is hosting an interactive debate on Friday, January 16, 2026, at the Salle de la Filature in Manosque, Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, to discuss preserving access to healthcare and improving working conditions for staff. The event aims to bring together caregivers,patients,and elected officials to collaboratively address critical issues facing the region’s healthcare system.

Round Table and Educational Game Planned

The event will feature a round table discussion at 6 p.m.titled “Health in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence (preserving our hospitals and guaranteeing our care).” CGT Santé et Action Sociale 04 will actively participate, contributing to the conversation surrounding the challenges impacting local hospitals and healthcare services. Prior to the round table, at 4 p.m., attendees can participate in a “popular education game” commemorating the 80th anniversary of Social Security.

Organizers emphasize the urgency of collective discussion given the budgetary and political pressures weakening hospitals,health services,and Social Security. The event provides a platform to learn, exchange ideas, and formulate action plans to safeguard healthcare access for all residents of Alpes-de-Haute-Provence.
