Windows January Updates Cause Remote Desktop and Shutdown Issues – Patches Now Available

Recent Windows updates released in January have introduced a pair of frustrating bugs affecting users of Windows 10, Windows 11, and Windows Server. Thes issues range from preventing remote desktop connections to causing unexpected restarts during shutdown or hibernation.

A significant number of users have reported difficulties connecting to remote desktops following the installation of the latest January patches. The issue affects Windows 10, Windows 11, and various versions of Windows Server, disrupting remote work and access to critical systems.
