Remembering Matthew Lee: A Life Celebrated

Matthew Lee, a former resident of Fairview, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on January 23, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, humor, and a deep love for animals. born on July 15, 1981, to Robert and Cynthia Lee, Matthew was the youngest of their four children and brought joy to his family from a young age.

Matthew’s educational journey began at Fairview High School, followed by higher education at the University of Pittsburgh, where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in buisness and marketing. He channeled his skills and enthusiasm into various roles within the food industry, sales, and hospitality, demonstrating a natural ability to connect with people.

Beyond his professional pursuits, Matthew embraced life with a passion for the outdoors, a love of reading, and a particular talent for cooking. Those who knew him will fondly remember his infectious sense of humor and his compassionate spirit. He found solace and companionship in the natural world and held a special place in his heart for all creatures.

Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Robert H. Lee, and his grandparents, John Robert and Irma Lee, and Anthony and Gloria Rigazzi. He is lovingly survived by his mother,Cynthia Lee of Naples,Florida,and his sisters,amanda (Ted) Lee,Kristen Lee,and Vicky (Jeff) Merski. He also leaves behind his cherished nephew and niece, Jacob and ella Merski, as well as numerous aunts, uncles, and friends who will deeply miss his presence.

A festivity of Matthew’s life will be held in Naples, florida, allowing family and friends to gather and share memories. The family has entrusted the local arrangements to Dusckas-Martin Funeral Home and Crematory, Inc., located at 4216 Sterrettania Rd. In lieu of flowers,the family requests that those wishing to honor Matthew’s memory consider making a donation to a local humane society or animal charity of their choice,reflecting his lifelong compassion for animals.
