Manchester United Secure Early Lead Against Fulham with Casemiro Header
Manchester United continued their positive momentum under manager Michael Carrick, securing an early lead against fulham at Old Trafford. Coming off recent victories against Manchester City and Arsenal, the Red Devils aimed to add three more points to their tally.
The match saw an immediate point of contention in the opening minutes when Fulham’s Bryan Mbeumo went down in the penalty area during a challenge with Jorge Cuenca. Initially, a penalty was awarded, but a subsequent VAR review persistent the foul occurred just outside the box, resulting in a free kick for Manchester United.
the breakthrough came in the 19th minute from that very free-kick situation. Bruno Fernandes delivered a pinpoint ball that found the head of Casemiro, who powerfully directed it past the Fulham goalkeeper.
