A late header from Max Fenger secured a narrow 1-0 victory for Blåvitt against Rosenborg in a match described as “chaotic” by head coach Stefan Billborn.

Fenger, who had been largely quiet throughout the game, found himself in the right place at the right time to convert a cross from substitute Imam Jagne into the decisive goal.

Speaking after the final whistle in the pouring rain, Billborn acknowledged a strong first-half performance but lamented his team’s inability to capitalize on their opportunities. “We create a lot in the first half and get very good offense at Rosenborg and need to capitalize a couple of times again. But we have far too little quality there,” he stated.

The second half descended into disarray, according to the coach. “The second half is just a chaos match. It’s only fair that we win but it’s terribly unstructured in the second half. They make a lot of changes and become quite weak and then it becomes chaotic, but we can’t keep our focus either.”

Despite the overall disjointed performance, Billborn highlighted the positive contribution of winger Saidou Alioum. “Yes, I think he was good. Above all,he has good speed. It’s probably the post game you could wish for a little more of. He looks strong this year, a bit faster and more durable.”

blåvitt will conclude their training camp with a match against Czech side Artis Brno on Saturday.
