Microsoft Announces Leadership Changes in Security Association

Microsoft is restructuring its security organization with key leadership changes designed to accelerate innovation and customer value. Hayete Bouchara will join Microsoft as President of Security, reporting directly to CEO Satya Nadella. Simultaneously, Charlie Bell will transition to a new role focused on engineering quality, also reporting to Nadella.
Hayete Bouchara Joins Microsoft
Hayete Bouchara brings extensive experience from Google, where she served as President, Customer Experience for Google cloud. Prior to Google, she spent over 15 years at Microsoft in senior leadership positions across engineering and sales, contributing substantially to the development of Windows and Office. Charlie Bell’s New Role
Charlie Bell, who previously lead the Security, Compliance, Identity, and Management organization and spearheaded the Secure Future Initiative, will now focus on engineering quality. This move reflects his desire to return to a role as an individual contributor (IC) engineer. He will partner closely with Scott Guthrie and Mala anand on the quality Excellence Initiative, which aims to improve the durability and quality of Microsoft’s engineering deliverables. Ales Holecek Appointed Chief Architect for Security
