She is the mother of well-known NBC journalist and TODAY show host Savannah Guthrie. Authorities believe she was probably taken from her home following a violent confrontation.
Investigators found traces of blood at the entrance to his home in the Catalina Foothills area, near Tucson, Arizona. Forensic testing confirmed that the blood belonged to Nancy Guthrie, law enforcement officials said.
