My father is in a nursing home since last September under Fair Deal, although I am still awaiting the Enduring Power of Attorney to be finalised in order that I can manage his financial affairs with my two siblings. His home is now vacant and ideally we wanted to rent it out to defray the costs associated with the nursing home, but we are very concerned by the new tenancies legislation, which would compel us to do so for up to six years.
