Madison County Crash: One Dead

MADISON COUNTY, Ky. (WKYT) – One person is dead following a single-vehicle crash Saturday night.

Madison County Coroner Jimmy Cornelison says the crash happened around 9:30 p.m. near mile marker 91 northbound on I-75 in Madison County.

Cornelison identified the person killed as 31-year-old Jafar Shakur Gresham, from Detroit, Michigan.

Cornelison says Gresham veered off the right side of the interstate and struck a tree line due to the icy conditions.

One other person was injured in the crash and taken to the University of Kentucky Medical Center for their injuries.
