– The Schwabacher Martial Arts Center wins bronze, silver and gold at the tournament in Esslingen.
Almost 450 participants took part in the 29th International Children’s Tournament in Esslingen. The Taekwondo department of the Schwabach Martial Arts Center achieved several medals. Athina Giakoumaki won the bronze medal in the weight class up to 29 kilograms. Fabian Dümmler reached the final of his first tournament in the class up to 25 kilograms after three fights and secured silver in a close fight.
Leonhard Lunkenheimer dominated the weight class up to 37 kilograms and won gold. The remaining athletes from the Schwabach Martial Arts Center gained competition experience. A total of three medals went to the Taekwondo department from Schwabach.
