The complete series “Emergencies”, which spanned fifteen seasons from 1994 to 2009, has been on Netflix since Tuesday.
It’s one of the most popular series in the world which arrives in full on Netflix this Tuesday. “Emergencies”, its 15 seasons and its 331 episodes of around forty minutes, have been available since Tuesday on the platform. Born in 1994 from a screenplay by Michael Crichton, author of “Jurassic Park”, “Emergencies” or “ER” in the United States for “Emergency Room” told until 2009 the daily life of Cook County General Hospital in Chicago, its operations, its dramas, its social issues, its stories of the body and the heart.
The medical series, which revolutionized the genre, revealed George Clooneyirresistible Doctor Ross, who hung up his white coat in 1999, before a brief return for the final episodes. She highlighted Noah Wyle, unforgettable John Carter, currently at the head of “The Pitt” another successful medical series ; Julianna Margulies aka Carol Hathaway or even Anthony Edwards who moved us in the role of Doctor Greene. A peak of 48 million viewers
The series started with 23.8 million curious people for the first evening in the United States. The record was reached in 1998 with 47.8 million viewers. Audiences which have not escaped a decline over the seasons.
“Emergencies” has been a classic, from the cynical “Doctor House” (2004) to “Grey’s Anatomy” in 2005, centered on the love stories of medical staff, via “Chicago Med” in 2015 and the latest “The Pitt”. A huge popular and critical success, the hospital soap opera was rewarded in January with two Golden Globes: best drama series and best actor in a drama series for Noah Wyle. The actor is now Dr. Michael Rabinavitch, at the Pittsburgh hospital, nicknamed “The Pitt.” To best reflect the extreme tension of the hospital environment, each episode corresponds to an exact time of a day in the emergency room. Available on HBO Max and while season 2 is currently airing until April, the series has already been renewed for a third.
