The municipality does not grant a permit for the SRV vehicles of CV Nie Veul during the carnival parade in Heesch on the village square near the Labrys fountain. “Our SRV cars have been a familiar sight during carnival in Heesch for years,” the association writes on Facebook.
“With one goal: a fun and accessible party for young and old, without a profit motive. Because of this decision, we are no longer allowed to organize anything on the square. Not because we don’t want to, but because it is made impossible for us.”
The carnival group therefore does not agree with the decision. “The square is freely accessible and people come together even without an organization. However, it happens without the facilities.” The club provided a toilet van, lights and sound. The square was left tidy afterwards. “The many positive reactions were the reason for us to continue this.”
“Thanks to everyone for all the wonderful years, conversations, parties and positive words. Without you there would be no carnival,” the association ends with the message.
