The USA took a well-deserved victory in the women’s hockey quarterfinals against Italy, 6–0. Now the Women’s Crowns await in the semi-finals.
After a first period where the Americans only found their way behind Italy’s Gabriella Durante once, things really picked up in the second period. Five times again the USA managed to score. The third period became mostly a transport route that the US could fully control.
Sweden now awaits in the semi-finals on Monday.
