Motorcycle Crash Blocks Lanes on I-90B Near Fresh Orleans Superdome

Two left lanes on Interstate 90B East near the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans were blocked early Wednesday morning, February 18, 2026, following a motorcycle crash. The congestion extended to Earhart Boulevard, causing traffic delays.

Details of the Incident

The crash was reported shortly after 5:00 AM CST. Initial reports suggested the motorcycle driver may have gone over the side of the elevated roadway, however, police later confirmed that the driver left the scene in another vehicle as reported by Yahoo News.

Tow trucks were dispatched to remove the damaged vehicles. As of Wednesday morning, no information regarding injuries has been released.

Traffic Impact and Resolution

The lane closures caused significant traffic congestion, reaching as far back as Earhart Boulevard. All lanes were reopened by approximately 5:10 AM CST after the wreckage was cleared according to Total Traffic New Orleans.
