The Jeonnam Dragons are setting their sights on a return to the K League 1 in the 2026 season, kicking off their campaign with a fan-focused launch ceremony on February 21st.

Jeonnam Dragons hosted a 2026 season launch ceremony at the CGV Gwangyang LF Square branch, attracting a strong turnout from supporters. The event, designed as a fan meeting, allowed players and fans to connect in a more intimate setting. President Song Jong-chan and coach Park Dong-hyeok expressed the team’s determination to achieve promotion, while team captains Valdivia, Choi Bong-jin, Choi Han-sol, and Yoo Ji-ha reinforced the team’s unity.

Jeong Seung-hoon, Chairman of the supporters’ group ‘Mir’, also conveyed a message of support, pledging continued backing throughout the season.

‘Yellow Wave’ Documentary and Uniform Reveal

A highlight of the event was the premiere of the first episode of the 2026 season documentary series, ‘Yellow Wave: Departure’, which was screened on a large 18-meter screen. The episode was met with enthusiastic applause from fans.

Players Park Tae-yong, Hanam, Lee Jun-hee, and Cho Min-hyeop unveiled the team’s latest 2026 season uniforms. A raffle featuring cherished items from the captains and a ‘Word of Support’ post-it program added to the excitement. Players Kang-min Jeong, Beom-soo Kim, Ji-yong Jeong, and Jun-young Min personally read and acknowledged fan messages, signing jerseys for lucky winners.
