Indiana head coach Curt Cignetti, whose team completed an undefeated 16-0 season to win the 2025 CFP national championship, expressed a willingness to support the Big Ten’s position. “Being that I’m a part of the Big Ten Conference, I have a lot of respect for Tony Petitti, and he supports a 24-team Playoff, (so) I’m going to follow the company line there,” Cignetti stated during an appearance on the Always College Football podcast according to CBS Sports. He added that he would focus on preparing his team to compete regardless of the final playoff format.
