Lürssen’s New 117-Meter Superyacht Boardwalk Launches, Estimated at $450-$500 Million

The 117-meter (384-foot) superyacht Boardwalk, built by Lürssen, has completed its launch and is currently undergoing sea trials off the coast of Langeoog, Germany. The yacht, previously known as Project 13797, was first launched from Lürssen’s Lemwerder facility last week and is scheduled for delivery in 2026.

Key Features and Design

Boardwalk spans six decks and boasts several luxury amenities, including two helipads – one located on the foredeck and another on the upper deck. The yacht too features two swimming pools. The exterior design is by Halffman Designs, in close collaboration with the owner.

Estimated Cost and Ownership

The estimated purchase price for Boardwalk is between $450 and $500 million. Annual operating costs are projected to be around $40 million, reflecting the significant expenses associated with maintaining and staffing a vessel of this size.

Owner Identity

While not officially confirmed, reports suggest that American billionaire Tilman Fertitta is the owner of Boardwalk. This is the largest yacht commissioned by Fertitta to date. Fertitta’s previous yacht, a 76.5-meter (251-foot) Feadship also named Boardwalk, was listed for sale earlier in 2024.

Lürssen and the Superyacht Market

Boardwalk is one of the largest yachts ever constructed by Lürssen, a leading German shipyard specializing in luxury superyachts. The launch highlights the continued demand for large, custom-built yachts among high-net-worth individuals.
