Thousands Embrace Christianity at Franklin Graham’s Lima, Peru Event

Lima, Peru – Over 90,000 people attended the “Esperanza Lima” event with Franklin Graham on March 7-8, 2026, resulting in thousands of professions of faith in Jesus Christ. The event, held at the National Stadium of Peru, drew attendees from across the region, with approximately 10,000 individuals coming forward during invitation periods.

A Message of Hope and Redemption

Franklin Graham preached the Gospel, focusing on the story of the Prodigal Son from Luke 15. He emphasized the possibility of returning to faith and finding forgiveness through Jesus Christ. “Have you ever wanted to run away from your problems?” Graham asked attendees, noting that many were seeking a path back to their “Heavenly Father.” Source

Graham underscored the belief that Jesus Christ is the sole solution to overcoming sin, stating, “The entire world is infected with sin. A significant portion of those who made commitments to Christ were young people, with over 20% of the respondents between the ages of 10 and 25. Oscar Nuñez and Karina Arcela, a husband and wife who attended the event, shared that they felt they had found what was missing in their lives. Arcela expressed a newfound sense of forgiveness, stating, “I used to suppose that He didn’t forgive me, but today the message has been clear. [Jesus] is my Savior.” Source
