Côtes-d’Armor Department to Host “Info in All Its States” Event to Combat Disinformation

The Côtes-d’Armor departmental council will host the second edition of “Info in all its states” in Guingamp from Friday, March 27 to Sunday, March 29, 2026. The event will feature approximately sixty meetings, including conferences, workshops, shows and exhibitions, focused on media education and combating disinformation.

The Importance of Information Literacy

Christian Coail, president of the Côtes-d’Armor departmental council, emphasizes the critical importance of reliable information, stating, “Information is important, especially in these times, because disinformation threatens us every day.” The event aims to address the challenges posed by social networks and artificial intelligence in the spread of misinformation.

According to Jean-Marie Benier, first vice-president of the departmental council, the event will focus on media education, a necessity in the current digital landscape. The program includes a diverse range of activities designed to equip citizens with the skills to critically evaluate information and navigate the complexities of the modern media environment.
