Samsung Galaxy S26 FE: What to Expect from the Fan Edition

Samsung is anticipated to continue its tradition of releasing a “Fan Edition” (FE) model within its flagship Galaxy S series. The Galaxy S26 FE is expected to offer a blend of key features from the Galaxy S26, S26+, and S26 Ultra, but at a more accessible price point.

Galaxy S26 FE: Confirmed Details

The existence of the Galaxy S26 FE was initially indicated by its detection in the GSMA database, a global registry for mobile devices. Listings display the device name as Galaxy S26 FE, with the model number SM-S741B. This confirms that the device has received a Type Allocation Code (TAC), essentially an “official identity code” for its IMEI.

Expected Release Timeline

Following the established pattern of previous Galaxy S FE releases, the Galaxy S26 FE is likely to debut in the autumn. Samsung typically releases its Galaxy FE devices in either early October or early September. Given the Galaxy S25 FE launched in September 2025, and the Galaxy S24 FE and S23 FE in early October, a similar timeframe is expected for the S26 FE – potentially in late September or early October 2026.

Potential Price Point

Currently, price expectations for the Galaxy S26 FE suggest a starting price around $650 in the US. However, recent price increases in the Galaxy S26 series may influence the final cost.

What Might Be Different?

Based on current expectations, the Galaxy S26 FE may feature:

  • A familiar design with a flat aluminum frame and Gorilla Glass protection.
  • A 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, similar to its predecessor.
  • A potential battery size upgrade.
  • A Samsung-made Exynos processor.
  • A camera system potentially staying the same as the previous FE model.

Other Samsung Devices Spotted in GSMA Database

In addition to the Galaxy S26 FE, the GSMA database similarly revealed two other unreleased Samsung devices: the Galaxy M47 5G (model number SM-M476B) and the Galaxy F70 Pro 5G (model number SM-E476B). The Galaxy M47 5G is of particular interest, as it would represent a revival of the Galaxy M4x line, which hasn’t been updated since the Galaxy M44 5G in 2023. The Galaxy F70 Pro 5G could indicate a fresh strategy to strengthen Samsung’s mid-range offerings, as the “Pro” designation is rarely used in the Galaxy F series.

As of March 24, 2026, detailed specifications and designs for these three devices remain undisclosed. Further leaks and official announcements are anticipated in the coming weeks.
