Metro Manila Mall Schedules for Holy Week 2026: Adjusted Operating Hours

As the Lenten season reaches its peak, major shopping mall operators across Metro Manila have implemented adjusted operating hours for Holy Week 2026. While most establishments shuttered their doors on Maundy Thursday and Decent Friday to observe the religious holiday, services are resuming for the Easter weekend.

For shoppers and residents navigating the city, understanding these variations is essential, as schedules differ significantly between full mall operations and essential services like supermarkets.

SM Supermalls: Reopening for Easter Weekend

The country’s largest mall chain adopted a strict closure policy for the heart of the holiday. According to The Manila Times, most Metro Manila branches closed on Maundy Thursday (April 2) and Good Friday (April 3).

Current Status (April 4-5):

  • SM Mall of Asia, SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, and SM City Manila: Open from 10 a.m. To 10 p.m.
  • The Podium: Open from 10 a.m. To 10 p.m.
  • SM Aura Premier: Reopened for regular hours starting April 4.

During the closures on April 2 and 3, SM maintained limited access. Select restaurants at SM Mall of Asia remained open, while supermarkets at SM Megamall, SM North EDSA, and SM Aura operated with shortened hours (closing at 6 p.m. On Thursday and 5 p.m. On Friday).

Ayala Malls: Easter Sunday Availability

Ayala Malls maintained operations on Maundy Thursday, April 2. As reported by Rappler, several key locations are open for Black Saturday (April 4) and Easter Sunday (April 5), including:

Robinsons Malls: Supermarket and Mall Access

Robinsons Malls provided tiered access throughout the week, ensuring that essential grocery services remained available even when main mall areas were closed.

Other Mall Operators

Other major developers, including Megaworld Lifestyle Malls and Araneta City, have likewise implemented adjusted schedules. Megaworld properties, in particular, have seen varied operating hours across their different locations during the 2026 Lenten season.
